Hi Guys, My friend asked me this question. So I thought I should well write about it and send him a link to this article. Ok so I assume that you don't already know it or may be you want to know more about it. All Web Analytics tools such as Google Analytics etc. display this metric to let you know what interest other people have in your Blog or website in general Bounce rate tells you what percentage of your website visitors are going away (in other words: Bouncings away) after landing on your website. This concept can be compared with basketball -vs- Jelly. What happens when you hit that wall with basketball (it bounce back right!) and what happens when you do the same this with Jelly (it just find a home for itself on that wall :)). So If a user or visitor only view one Single page on your website and hit Back button that's a bounce. So bottom line is that If visitor gets away from your website after viewing a page that's a Bounce and it can happen if visitor do any of the following Close the browser Clicked on Ad that opens in new window. Hits browser back button Just typed another URL in the browser or selected a URL from your site, right clicked it and clicked Goto "http : // ...." Close the Tab in tabbed browser So you see there are heaps of reason.. So Google formula to calculate Bounce Rate for its analytics tool is Bounce rate %age = (Visits that left after one page (Hour,Day, Week or Month)/Total number of visits in that (Hour,Day, Week or Month))*100; So if you have 10 Visitors in an Hour and 3 of them left after viewing first page so Bounce Rate %age = (3/10)*100 = (0.3)*100 = 30% Bounce rate is really important metrics and tells a lot about Visitors interest in your website. Advertisement Here are few Tips that I can give from my experience on how to improve Bounce Rates Suspense When you write a Blog post it is a good Idea to mention whats coming up next. So using sentences like … [Read more...]
Make GMail Hacker Safe, Almost!
Hi Guys, So recently I was revising my GMail account and discovered a really cool feature that I believe will Hack proof my GMail and my Google Account as in All. Google Account for me is the most precious property I've got because that is my online Identity. I am quite sure that once hacked I can never really recover from the damages. Same applies to many or most of the people. I am gonna do a Video tutorial explain how we can use Google 2 step verification to Hackproof your GMail. Before I do that here are couple of quick points about GMail. GMail out of the box is somewhat secure because it operates on Secure channel by default i.e. HTTPS GMail allow you to add phone number to send out forgotten passwords/PINs which is really cool feature. Now I would like to make sure that you don't get it wrong thus I would highlight that this post is for GMail users in general who care about their security. Big guns will run their own mail servers and will have really lengthy passwords to protect their accounts. There are few things I have learn't over the time which are Have strong passwords for you online accounts. Never store passwords with your browser. Never goto sites that could install malwares, keyloggers etc on your computer. In other words you should be a safe Internet user. Always have different passwords for different accounts that you have with different providers on Internet. Never login to your Online accounts from Computers you don't trust such as from Internet Cafes etc and many more... If you are doing all of the above then you have very less chances of getting you account hacked anyway but Google's 2 Factor Authentication adds another layer to security of your account. So give me an opportunity to explain things a bit more and watch the video tutorial below. Pardon my English. You will hear loads of oohhs and Ahhs so just laugh it out. I always feel nervous recording :) but thing is I … [Read more...]
Google Drive – What and When
Hi Guys, I was reading a post on thenextweb and suddenly became excited with what Google is doing in this space. I've been using DropBox for many years now and I am quite happy with that. But when the name Google comes up I became overly excited because this is the company I love the most out of all big ones. Here is a screenshot that was leaked Now the concept of Google Drive seems to be pretty much alike Dropbox. You drop your files into Google Drive and you will be able to access it from anywhere or everywhere including Smart Phones, Tablets, Macs and or PCs. Just like Dropbox when you make change to the file it will be automatically synced and you will be able to open or download the updated file from other devices that you will have connected to your account. It will come up with 5GB more space. With dropbox you can get upto 16 GB free space depending on number of referrals you generate but to start with they offer 2 GB of FREE space. Google Driva has been launched on 25th April. Here is the URL https://drive.google.com/start?authuser=0#home Now tricky point it that its not ready yet for many. May be final tests are going on with some initial population. You can leave you email with Google and they will notify you once it is ready for you to use. But if you see "Get started now" button when you visit above URL then you will get instant access to your drive. here is an article that explains it https://support.google.com/drive/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=2456456&p=mktg_invite I will keep you updated once it is available as I am planning to release some posts on how to get on it. I am positive that this wont end up in "invite friends" to join and I just hope that it will be available to everyone from word go. Leave your comments so that if someone end up reading this post may be able to answer or I may be able to answer you questions too if I end up knowing the answer. Here is … [Read more...]

Adsense with Adbrite or Chitika?
Hi Guys, So now that I have done lot of readings and explored lots of sites looking for this specific information I can comment or write something on this question. I was asked "Can I run Adsense with Adbrite or Chitika" or not Let me try to answer this First thing first Chitika, according to my analysis you can run Chitika Ads with Google Adsense if Chitika Ads does not resembles Adsense looks. If you are going to use Chitika, Chitika ads must look completely different to Adsense Ads, which they are out of the box. You can use Chitika Ads with AdSense because Chitika Ads are non-contextual and do not look like AdSense units. Ok this is the important bit from Google Adsense Program policy In order to prevent user confusion, publishers may not display Google ads or search boxes on websites that also contain other ads or services formatted to use the same layout and colours as the Google ads or search boxes on that site. Although you may sell ads directly on your site, it is your responsibility to ensure that these ads cannot be confused with Google ads. You have to understand that above para mentions website not Pages so even if you are not displaying Adsense on a page then too it falls under new terms. Same applies to Adbrite. You will now have to make Adsense look completely different to Adbrite or Vice versa. Choosing Colors is not a Kids jobs and It does affect the Click through rate. As long as you are displaying Ads that does not look like Google Ads it should be OK. My suggestion is that as long as the Adbrite ads are formatted differently to AdSense you should be OK. Personally if I am using different networks I would put titles too for my Ads such as "Ads by Google", or "Adbrite advertisement" So that your visitors know exactly what they are click on. Final word is that as long as Ads from Adbrite looks different to Adsense Ads and Adbrite Ads wont confuse your users of Adsense Ads it … [Read more...]
Adsense: Increasing your chances of getting your account Disabled by Google
Hi Guys, To start with I am pretty sure that I am doing few things right thus I can write on this topic. The purpose of this post is to make you aware of few most obvious reasons that nearly guarantees to have your Adsense Account disabled by Google. These are the points that I gathered reading enormous posts and articles and off course Google's Adsense forums. So lets get started. If you do one of the following You will Increase your chances of getting disabled by Google. From my understanding Google will send you a warning if breach is not so serious. The biggest mistake will be to CLICK ON YOUR OWN Ads. Never ever do that. I personally think that Google may not object for 1-2 accidental clicks but if you are clicking every hour or every day hmm.. then you are just using a sledge hammer on you feet. Never ever ask your friends to click your Ads. This includes broadcasting on Google+ or Facebook how great your site is and writing something like this "Hey friends check out my new site and don't forget to check out the Ads". I am not sure but Google may have some way of checking some usual English sentences with their crawler. Many PHD brains are working behind this so chances of you getting caught are many if not few. Never ever ask your website visitors to click on your Ads. For few dollars you are spoiling your reputation. Personally for me reputation matters a lot. So saying something like, "Please help me buy my next computer" or "Please help me buy you next Ferrari" is not going to help. Instead use Paypal donations for that sort of stuff. If people seems to be interested they will definitely Donate. Don't use you Ads for that purpose. Never ever copy content (includes images, videos etc) from other websites. If its not yours don't use it. What I mean to say is that if you are plagiarising, Google hates that so write something original that you understand and can answer if you visitor asks questions about it. You have to understand … [Read more...]
