Places/Points of Interest (POI) Australia Database

Points of Interests or Places of Interest or POI I guess is same thing. It is individual preference to make a call. A point of interest, or POI, is a specific point location that someone may find useful or interesting. An example is a point on the Earth representing the location of the Space Needle, or a point on Mars representing the location of the mountain, Olympus Mons. The term is widely used in cartography, especially in electronic variants including GIS, and GPS navigation software. A GPS point of interest specifies, at minimum, the latitude and longitude of the POI, assuming a certain map datum. A name or description for the POI is usually included, and other information such as altitude or a telephone number may also be attached. GPS applications typically use icons to represent different categories of POI on a map graphically [Above is extract from wikipedia] If you are looking for POI for Australia look no further than poidb.com Just to share with you that my good friend Mark Warton runs a company called poidb.com specializing in Points of Interests Australia. Acronis sucks with incremental Backups what’s wrong. I give up.

Hi Guys, This post is not in anyway a review for any product. This is my opinion that I formed after using and trial'in few products. So before commenting something rubbish just understand that there is great difference between writing a review and writing your opinion. So for me you should try all software that you think suits you. DO NOT take my word for it. Look what others think in forums etc before making your decision. Recently few weeks ago I Purchased Seagate NAS Black Armor 220 and Acronis comes bundled with it. I was happy that I Got a Backup Software that I can rely on. So I setup my NAS and configured a incremental backup job. Now after I did that I ran that job and the result was a base backup size 65Gb from my development machine at home. Fair enough! This was daily incremental job, 3 days later i thought i should check how much space Backup increments were taking. To my surprise every increment was taking roughly in between 7Gb to 10Gb. Was i doing something wrong configuring the job?? NO! I've got De-fragmentation off even then it seems like lot of stuff is changing behind the scenes even though Machine is off for majority of the time :) I've tried every combination but failed to bring down the incremental backup size. There is some explanation about why incremental sizes are big http://kb.acronis.com/content/2712 Some post that I read to make sure that it wasn't just me. http://forum.acronis.com/forum/10908 http://www.wilderssecurity.com/archive/index.php/t-36650.html http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/254799-45-acronis-true-image-2011-mysterious-incremental-back http://www.techradar.com/forum/showthread.php?t=27604 and many thousands of them really .... So then I thought I should give another Backup solution a go which I bought few months ago. BackupAssist worked for me! Built on top of windows backup the increments are super small in size never exceeds 100MB. That's what I call technology :) Atleast It … [Read more...]

Why Google take its time to crawl a submitted website

Questions? why google/yahoo/bing take time to crawl submitted website? How to get Google/yahoo/bing to crawl your site faster? Why? Google/yahoo/bing is Taking Long time To get Crawl My Website How many months will google/yahoo/bing take to crawl to my new website? Timing? Google crawl? How Long? Well this is frustrating when you submit your URL to search engines like Google, Bing and or Yahoo and then wait for weeks before your website is crawled. But Let me guess. I think there is a reason behind it. In my opinion, Search Engines like Google knows that they should be able to find quality sites by following links from Other website. IF say a website like Facebook is launched or even say gizmodo it will accumulate quality links in no time. So If a truly great site is launched, someone will be linking to it from somewhere in no time at all. If your Website failed to get any incoming links from other Websites Google probably assumes that the site is going to be of lesser quality. Websites popularity is by people, If they like it they will link back. Bottom line is that if you don't get quality incoming links there is more chance that your website will be crawled in Weeks if not Months. But that's what my brain says and my brain is often wrong :) Now things you should do to guarantee that your website will be indexed within 24 hours. Use social media. Spread the word. and get the link backs to your website Use reputed forums which allow you to put links in posts. Submit your website to Website directories. Submit a Sitemap XML Url e.g. submit http://jaspreetchahal.org/sitemap.xml rather than http://jaspreetchahal.org itself If for any reason you got deindexed your website then use reinclusion tools (e.g. user Google webmasters tool) to get your website reincluded for reindexing. I hope this information will help you. Remember CONTENT IS GOD. If your website has got good content search engines will … [Read more...]

I recently came across this error when starting a project in Adobe Flash Builder 4.5. This error is mainly due to the either if iOS support was not installed with your Flash builder or you are using a incompatible Fled sdk, AIR version with Flash builder. e.g. Flex SDK 4.6 is incompatible with Flash builder 4.5.x. As mentioned somewhere on Adobe's website that iOS support will be introduced soon i.e. with Flex SDK 4.5 onwards and they did that. I was so excited to start off my new project but when I tried to run/debug my application choosing iOS environment i got this error AIR for Apple iOS Support in Flash Builder is not installed Now where to go from here? Call to non-existing function: zend_is_configuration_changed() in ZwasComponents_Util_Api_UserServer:: isConfigurationChanged()

Oh my my my what the hell my Zend community server install was corrupted yesterday. Took me whole day to fix it. In my case Zend server did not like any direct/indirect (from other programs) modification to my php.ini file. HUH! What the. Turn out to be my phpEd try to install its debugger which Zend server didn't like. Fortunately I back my development machine every week (I should be doing it more often) and from the Backup I recovered my original php.ini and replaced it with the modified one and whoa everything worked. Lessons learned: - Always create a backup of your original *.conf and *.ini files just in case you have to reinstate them if something goes wrong. - when installing phpED first put the Zend debugger off and then install phpED debugger for it to work fine. … [Read more...]

PHP Get Real IP Address

Alright there are some times when we wonder how do we get real IP address for a HTTP client, needs may vary from correct IP2Location functioning, avoiding spam etc.. this is what i use and works most of the time. I guess its still possible for a HTTP client to spoof HTTP_X_FORWARDED_FOR, and set it to a fake IP number. so i think doing something like this is more safe Hope this helps someone   … [Read more...]
